MBSB aims to reduce NPL ratio to 2% in 2 years


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) aims to reduce non-performing loans (NPLs) ratio to 2% in the next two years from the current 5%-5.5%, chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Zaini Othman said on Wednesday.

He said the target would be made possible by putting in place a stronger risk management framework and compliance framework which would be able to reduce the overall NPLs to the industry level which currently stands about 2%.
