The national power company said on Monday it had signed a power purchase agreement with 1MDB Solar which will design and build the plant which will have a capacity of 50MW alternate current (MWac).
"The PPA is in relation to the pilot project for 50 MWac Solar PV, which forms part of the initiative to support the national agenda for the development of renewable energy in Malaysia," it said.
