Affin to launch wealth management unit after RM1.36b deal


KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Holdings Bhd is launching a wealth management division after it completes the RM1.36bil acquisition of Hwang-DBS Investment Bank Bhd (HDIB).

The new business, named "Affin-Hwang", would be anchored around Affin's investment advisory business as part of the bank's plan to be a top five investment bank in each if its business segments. They are institutional stockbroking, retail equities, asset management, investment banking and treasury.
