HLI emerges top gainer on key unit deal


PETALING JAYA: Shares of Hong Leong Industries Bhd (HLI) were a top gainer across the local bourse yesterday, as its deal to sell a key unit to sister firm Narra Industries Bhd neared completion.

HLI gained 57 sen, or 10.5%, to a 14-year high of RM6 despite anaemic trading on Bursa Malaysia, with 1.3 million shares being done.
