Scotland-based Weir Group's investment in Malaysia hits RM1bil


KUALA LUMPUR: Scotland-based Weir Group Plc's investment in Malaysia has reached RM1bil, making it the largest British company to invest in the country to-date.

The investment included a US$200mil(RM600mil) acquisition in Linatex Rubber Products Sdn Bhd in 2010, RM22mil n acquisition in Cheong Foundry last year and the proposed investment of 70 million British pounds (RM350mil) in Sendayan Technology Park, Negeri Sembilan.
