AirAsia chief is 'Leader of the Year', optimistic about Indian venture

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes has been named “Airline Industry Leader of the Year” at the Aviation 100 Awards held in Dublin, Ireland.

In a statement yesterday, AirAsia said Fernandes was recognised for pushing the boundaries of the aviation industry.
