Manulife buys MAA Group's unit for RM96.5mil


PETALING JAYA: Manulife Holdings Bhd is acquiring MAAKL Mutual Bhd from MAA Corp Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MAA Group Bhd, and other shareholders for a cash consideration of RM96.48mil.

MAA Corp owns 55% of MAAKL Mutual while Khyra Liberty Sdn Bhd owns 20%, Edmond Cheah Swee Leng 5%, Nge Koh Nguong 9% and Wong Boon Choy 11%.
