PETALING JAYA: There is real concern that the slowdown in China would drag growth lower in Malaysia and the greater East Asia region, but views differ on how deep the impact would be.
DBS Bank Ltd economist Irvin Seah said China’s impact on the region in terms of trade, investment and tourism would mean that any significant slowdown would have an impact on the country’s trade partners and outward investments.
