Over 29,000 new aircraft required in next 20 years: Airbus

KUALA LUMPUR: Air travel is likely to become increasingly common, especially in emerging markets over the next 20 year, and this demand will have to be met by over 29,220 new aircraft worth US$4.4tril, Airbus’s Global Market Forecast report predicted.

The report said some 28,350 of these aircraft would be passenger planes worth US4.1tril, with the rest being freighter planes.
