MESB Islamic notes put on MARC Watch Negative

It only takes about 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur for users to reach Putrajaya via the Maju Expressway.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Rating Corp Bhd (MARC) has placed Maju Expressway Sdn Bhd’s (MESB) RM550mil Islamic medium-term notes (IMTN) programme on MARCWatch Negative.

It said in a statement that the move followed concerns over increases in financial leverage at both parent and subsidiary level and also potential pressure from parent Bright Focus Bhd to return surplus cash to shareholders following the proposed sukuk issue of up to RM1.35bil.
