Astro sees content, IPTV boosting revenue

KUALA LUMPUR: Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd sees an increase in its average revenue per user (Arpu) in its current financial year ending Jan 31, 2014, driven by added monetisation from new pay-TV content and IPTV (Internet-protocol television) services via its tie-up with Maxis Bhd.

"If you look at the new services that we've added, we've added our Astro-On-The-Go (innovative service) and we've started commercialisation efforts on that, which started in May," said Astro chief executive officer Datuk Rohana Rozhan after the company AGM and EGM on Wednesday.
