MRT underground package on track


KUALA LUMPUR: The RM8.2bil Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) underground work package from Semantan in Damansara to Maluri in Cheras is 30% complete. MMC-Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd project director Satpal S Bhogal said the work progress included 9.5km tunnelling and seven underground stations.

“We are on track for completion within the time frame. In some areas, we are ahead of schedule,” he told reporters at the launch of the tunnelling work for a visitors’ centre yesterday.
