AirAsia submits no-objection cert


PETALING JAYA: AirAsia Bhd, which has signed deals with Tata Sons Ltd and Telestra Tradeplace Pvt Ltd to set up AirAsia India, has submitted a no-objection certificate application to India's Civil Aviation Ministry.

The company said in a press statement that this submission brings it one step closer towards the formation of the joint venture, which was approved by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board recently. AirAsia said it was confident' that it would be able to obtain necessary approvals in the coming months for this purpose.
