VEGOILS-Market factors to watch March 26(Tuesday)

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Monday on weaker exports, although losses were limited as a last-ditch deal to bailout Cyprus supported investor appetite for riskier assets.

* U.S. grains edged lower on Monday as crop-friendly snowfall and rains moved across the U.S. Corn Belt and traders squared positions ahead of a major government crop report due later this week.

* Crude oil futures rose on Monday in choppy trading after a bailout deal for Cyprus improved the outlook for fuel demand in the euro zone.

MARKET NEWS

* Global equity markets and the euro retreated on Monday after a senior euro-zone official said the Cyprus bailout reached earlier could be used to shape other regional banking problems by shifting more risk to depositors and stakeholders.

* Crude oil futures rose up to 1 percent on Monday after a bailout deal for Cyprus went through smoothly, but many other commodities slipped or stayed flat as lingering worries about the euro zone weakened the single currency. RELATED NEWS
