IILM in final stages of issuing first short-term sukuk


KUALA LUMPUR: The International Islamic Liquidity Management Corp (IILM) is in the final stages of issuing its first short-term sukuk with a maturity of up to one year, said Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

“The shareholders are in the process of providing underlying assets against which the sukuk would be issued,” Zeti told a press conference in conjunction with the release of the central bank's 2012 annual report yesterday.
