Kwasa Land holds title to former RRI land

PETALING JAYA: Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd has confirmed it now holds the title to the 943ha that was once part of the Rubber Research Institute in Sungai Buloh.

In a statement yesterday, Kwasa Land managing director Mohamed Lotfy Mohamed Noh said the title had previously belonged to the Malaysian Rubber Board and not the Selangor state, and that it had since been transferred to Kwasa Land, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Employees Provident Fund and master developer of the proposed Kwasa Damansara township project on that land.

He was responding to a StarBiz article yesterday that quoted a UOB KayHian Research report as saying that there was a hurdle in the transfer of the land title from the Selangor state to Kwasa Land.
