No opinion from Octagon auditors

PETALING JAYA: Octagon Consolidated Bhd’s external auditors have not been able to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence to provide a basis for an audit opinion, hence it does not express an opinion on its financial statements.

The company said in an exchange announcement that it was in the midst of finalising the final draft of the Debt Settlement Agreement to record the debt settlement arrangements with its respective financial lenders. “The last day for submission of the regularisation plan by Octagon to the relevant authorities would be by June 8, 2013, which is approximately three months from the date hereof,” it said.
