KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's inflation rate rose 1.3% in January 2013 from a year ago on higher food and non-alcoholic beverages and also non-food prices, the Statistics Department said.
It said on Wednesday the inflation rate, measured by the consumer price index (CPI) increased to 105.9 from 104.5 a year ago.
