AZRB gets RM1.55b govt contract for East Klang Valley Expressway

KUALA LUMPUR: Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB) has landed a RM1.55bil contract from the government for the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE).

AZRB said on Wednesday the concession period would be for 50 years commencing.

"The estimated total construction costs for the construction works shall be RM1.55bil.

"The government agreed to provide to the company a loan in the maximum principal amount of RM635mil at an interest rate of 4% per annum capitalised annually subject to a separate agreement to be entered into between the government and the company," it said.
