Digital growth lifts NY Times


new york: The New York Times Co reported higher quarterly revenue as more people paid for its digital newspapers.

Fourth-quarter revenue totalled US$575.8mil, a 5.2% rise from the same quarter a year ago. Analysts were expecting US$570.42mil. The revenue increase was due in part to an additional week in the quarter. Advertising revenue fell 3.1% at its newspapers, including its flagship paper and The Boston Globe. Reuters
